Program Description
A one hour hands-on session shooting session at the NRA Range in Fairfax, Virginia. National Shooters Instructors closely evaluate and monitor for corrections and safety. We designed this program for limited experience shooters looking for a basic shooting session with their new rifle or a fun shooting experience. Program covers:
- Fundamentals of rifle shooting
- Basic rifle manipulation
- Loading and unloading magazines
- Properly loading and unloading cartridges into the rifle
- Working the bolt carrier and bolt catch
- Engaging targets at distances of 7-25 yards
 Requirements:
- A clean and well lubricated AR-15 or equivalent weapon system (M4, AK-47, AK-74, SCAR, etc.) equipped with an optic and/or iron sights
- At least one (1) serviceable magazine, three (3) preferable
- 60 rounds of ammo per person
*we have gun and gear rentals as well as ammunition available, please ask ahead of scheduled class times
Costs and Time:
- Cost: $200 for 1st shooter (second shooter: :$70)
- ***NRA Member Price: $45/shooter, not including taxes, rentals, ammo, and range fees. ***
- Rentals: $15/shooter
- Time: 1 Shooting hour at the NRA Range in Fairfax
- Scheduled by hourly appointments 5pm-9pm Wednesday-Friday evenings
